1.1 This practice covers the spectral range from 4000-50 cm -1 and includes techniques that are useful for qualitative analysis of liquid-, solid-, and vapor-phase samples by infrared spectrometric techniques for which the amount of sample available for analysis is not a limiting factor. 1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
