1.1 This test method covers the leaching out of the soluble chlorides in asbestos and the volumetric determination of chloride ion in the leachate. 1.2 Warning-Breathing of asbestos dust is hazardous. In addition to other precautions, when working with asbestos-cement products, minimize the dust that results.
