1.1 This specification covers magnesium alloys in ingot form for remelting for the manufacture of sand castings, permanent mold castings, investment castings, and die castings. Note 1Supplementary information pertaining to the alloys covered by this specification when used in the form of castings is given in Specifications B 80, B 94, B 199 and B 403. 1.2 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI units are to be regarded separately as standard.
