The cast or heat analysis of the steel shall conform to the chemical requirements for carbon, manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur. Unspecified elements may be present. Limits on additional elements such as copper, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, and columbium shall be stated. The material shall also conform to the required bending properties.
