Summary:
The ongoing publication of new European standards (ENs) calls for UIC leaflets (in this case UIC Leaflet 546, 5th edition) to be made consistent with ENs (in this case EN 14198, EN 15179, EN 15355 and EN 15611) that have the same content, in order to eliminate overlaps and discrepancies. Permissible discrepancies and additional content vis-a-vis the relevant ENs are mentioned in the present leaflet.
