Die vorliegende Internationale Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren zur quantitativen Bestimmung von Phospho-lipiden durch Hochleistungsflüssigkeitschromatographie (HPLC) unter Anwendung einer Diol-Säule und eines Lichtstreudetektors. Das Verfahren ist anwendbar auf rohe ölhaltige Lecithine, ölfreie Lecithine und Lecithin-Fraktionen aus pflanzlichen Fetten und Ölen. Das Verfahren ist nicht anwendbar auf tierische Lecithine, Lecithine in Futtermittel für Wiederkäuer und enzy-matisch hydrolysierte Lecithine; die Peaktrennung von Lysophosphatidylethanolamin (LPE), Lysophosphati-dylinositol (LPI) und Lysophosphatidsäure (LPA) ist unzureichend.
