The International Union of Railways (UIC) develops and distributes International Railway Solutions (IRSs) in order to help railway stakeholders achieve further harmonisation and collaboration.
This IRS deals with the conditions for the interchangeability of the doors and securing devices of covered wagons and high-sided open wagons.
It is addressed to Freight Railway Undertakings, Entities in Charge of the Maintenance of wagons, Infrastructure Managers, Wagon Manufacturers and Notified Bodies.
