This specification establishes the requirements for tough-pitch fire-refined copper wire bars, cakes, slabs, and billets for fabricating into wrought products and ingot and ingot bars for use in the manufacture of copper and copper alloy castings. This copper is not intended for electrical purposes. Any copper may be used that will yield a product with a chemical composition conforming to the requirements specified.
