The purpose of this document is to recommend practices and procedures for promoting and maintaining safe and healthy working conditions for personnel in drilling and well servicing operations. These recommendations apply to rotary drilling rigs, well servicing rigs, and special services as they relate to operations on location. It is intended that the applicable requirements and recommendations of some sections of the standard be applied, as appropriate, to other sections.
